Hi All,

I have recently installed and/or upgraded several customers systems that include Sony HD displays and Dish PVR501 receivers. One system consists of a Sony KV-36XBR450, while the other is the PFM-42B1. Both have Echostar/Dish PVR 501's connected via S-Video.

I am noticing a strange pixelation and terrible artifacts around the edges of a lot of images, especially grass on the Golf Channel and quite a bit of text on sports and other broadcasts. Quite a few high speed sports and rapid camera shots look terrible as well. These same displays produce progressive scan and even s-video DVD beautifully. We install a lot of other hi-def displays, to suit customers needs, including Hitachi, Pioneer, Fujitsu, Panasonic, NEC and Toshiba, and none of these have presented the same issue.

Could this possibly be an artifact of Sony's DRC, or reverse 3:2 pulldown, cinemotion, or any of their other funky toys?

Can any of you relate any problems, concerns, similiar situations or fixes you might have?

Thanks,

BSC
