I am going back to the mid 80's, So I doubt this will be much help to you. I used to use the Nutone CV 350 or CV450 depending on the house size. I would just under $1000.00 for the equipment. Pump, Electric Vac brush, tool kit, and hose. The it was $85.00 each additional outlet. We usually ran approx. 8 outlets in the average home that we work in. Like I said that was a long time ago.

Call a central vac company and ask them for a ballpark quote over the phone. Call one in a distant city and tell them you are trying to figure this out -- you are not their competition. Call your supplier and ask them for this kind of information.

On average we install a central Vac for about $.85 per square foot. This includes motor, attachments, and training. New construction only...of course. www.progressivehome.com
