I am about to have a another problem. here it is. I bought an Ultimate TV a few years back and loved it. It died. Went and bought TIVO I can't stand it!!!!! Bought a different Ultimate TV on this site.
At some point I am going to want and need to go to HD. We know at some point the TIVO units will be HD. I will not go back to TIVO. I certainly can't go back to regular HD satellite receiver. What am I supposed to do? Does anybody have any ideas?

Microsoft gave up on Ultimate TV. Either learn to like your Tivo, or you are SOL.

not quite as robust, but the dish network 921 will fit the bill...satellite, HDTV, and it can record it all!

don't know of anything for recording Cable HD yet

Thanks for the input. I'm not a huge fan of Dishnetwork for a number of reasons. But mostly the Sunday Ticket. I will definitely give it some thought. Thanks for the input. I see Brad says that the unit has been delayed any idea when it'll be available?.

Supposed to be December 1 at last report...will investigate further...

Dish will have Sunday ticket next season, as well as all other major sports subs...they own the satellites anyway, they should offer the same programming...

Dish will NOT have Sunday Ticket anytime in the near future. Direct renewed their exclusive agreement this year for an additional 5 years. They used the 600 Million they got from Charlie for the non-completion of the buyout as the down payment.

I'll have to do some more investigation into this, since two guys at CEDIA in the Dish booth told me this would be happening, as well as one guy I frequently drink beer with (I live only 8 miles from the company HQ in Colorado).
