I have a house with 4 home theathers in different areas of the house. They are all interconnected (four denon 5803 receivers) and I can watch in any of them whatever is showing in another. I have an internet access point in all 4 home teathers and computers in them. I want to have a way and a software similat to crestron or pronto that I could program all home theaters and something to transform the computer output into IR signals. Can anybody help with this?

AMX G4 Web Control Would be my first choice..... Xplore Solutions is another system that is actually PC Based, but runs a Linux OS, and Xplore has real PCI IR Output cards. Web control works great.

WEL, yes, You can go with a Extron IPL T SFI244 web server that has IR and rs232 outputs. Build a webpage full of buttons like a crestron and access it thru any web enabled device. It is kinda kludjey and you need to know HTML and such but it will work. I am working on importing a product that is much more refined than the extron, but it will take some time yet.

Currently, there is no G4 Web Control. It's due out next month and I think that it's a clumsy solution. They decided to use the Modero Panel to house the G4 interface so that the only way to do web control is to have a panel! You still can have the G3 Web Control that is kept in the processor. Downside is it must be coded using the previous generation of touch panel design. In my opinion, there needs to either be an update to the frames to accomodate G4 web controls, or an external device (non-tp or non processor) that would sit on your LAN that would "serve" up the web controls.

Check out Aurora Multimedia's WACI
(Web Access Control Interface) as an option, too.

I am looking at a box that uses no hard drive, works like a router in the sense that it has a ROM style memory or "Firmware" to hold a page, (it uses flash mem.) I for one will not use any system that uses a hard drive or an OS that needs one. I am going the embeded route. Imagine a network device with emmiter & RS 232 ports on it, store a few "Flash" based or HTML pages you built in dreamweaver on it, now stick it in your rack and access it with everything that can see the web. You obviously cout just do "Intranet" or "Internet" controll.

Now if you think about it you can do most anything a Crestron or AMX system can do with a wireless web pad and a box that should be under a Grand.

Most of the other systems out there are still tryin to pimp you all into buying a PC dressed up as a touchscreen control system. I dont plan on explaining to a client that there house control system caught a virus and I need to make a $ervice call.!.!.!

Check out the Crestron QM-RMC [Link: crestron.com]

It requires Crestron's software (which is free) to program, but the box is only $700 retail.

You are limited Xpanel on PC or Windows Pocket PC 2002 devices only. This wouldn't help me with my bluetooth enabled Clie. I know that I'm personally looking for a solution that isn't proprietary and limits my choices on a user interface for my next control system (currently own Crestron ST-CP).

Yes, you are right, studiocats1, I do work for Aurora. I am a Crestron and AMX control system programmer.

Your sales must be low if you have time to come here and spam this forum with your product.

If I or someone else wanted to know about your product we would have posted a question.

Would you like me to post a link to all your competitors and a nice review of them?

One would figure with the no-call list, the government figuring out how to stop spam and ISPs implementing anti-spam measures that your post doesn't do much except make people mad. It seems that I and others see your post as spam. Please use your time to make your product work and work 100% of the time, show up to CEDIA, hand out CDs with your software and then we will be happy to try your product.

Dave
