I've got a bar that has three Fujitsu pd-4209 plasmas in it. I unfortunately can't get down there tonight and no one is at Fujitsu service right now. Do any of you have experience with this so I can maybe help them out over the phone... tonight is of course karaoke night. Is there some kind of slepp timer in the menu or are these two and a half year old sets that play 11-12 hours a day getting f----d up?

Sounds like they are shutting down from heat... The older Fujitsus had a thermal protection circuit that would cut power a bit premature.... I bet the smoke from the bar has got the fans all gummed up.

Wow...I'm having the exact same problem with a 4222. I have it in the reapair shop right now. The problem was that there was not Fujistu repair in my area or even within a 2 hour drive. SO I had to set up my local service cetner as a Fujistu service...I di all of the leg work for it.
I hate doing other people's jobs!
Anyway now I'm waiting for the service center to receive a service remote...meanwhile, my customer's is busting my chops.

I'm looking for that remote if any one has the ccf for it.

The Fujistu service tech told me how to figure out which board is bad. send me an email if you want the notes I took. Leave your fax number in the email and I'll fax them.
It seemed easy enough to fix, but I didn't want toi risk it.

Jason,

Thanks for the info. I'm not going to pull it either. I have a shop about 40 miles away that is authorized to service Fujitsu and said right up that he was sure it was a board... that sucks. I'll be scheduling him to go out on site and determine which ones, order them and wait 6 weeks for the parts. Meanwhile my good customer will also be busting my chops and the sale I would be looking at for his buddy will probably go down the toidy. I guess I should be big enought to have loaner plasmas but alas... I am not.

If all of them are going out at the same time, could there be a problem with the video source? My Fujitsu has DPMS that puts it into standby when there is no signal present. It might be worth checking anyway...

I do have a customer with a 42" Panasonic that is only about 2 months old that is shutting off because of a bad power board. When I called the local service center, they already had 1 in there doing the same thing.

rhm9, maybe the plasmas ran out of gas, and you need to take them to Circuit City to get them recharged! ;-)
