Called Tech support and I'm still waiting. should have come here first.

PT'S are KX-T7736. How do I assign a Personal/common log button so I can view my caller ID log and what are the steps required.

thanks

I am assuming that you purchased (and installed) the caller id card from panasonic?  If so you should be able to look at the caller id log on the phone.  Here is a link to another site that has forums for Panasonic Phone Systems.

The caller ID card for CO'S (1,2,3) comes installed on the 824 unlike the 624 that was optional.

I have caller ID displayed on Incoming CO'S but I can't view the caller ID LOG....

I enabled the caller ID options in the programming.

thanks.

On the screen you go to for programming the speed dial buttons on the side. I think its the station or extension programming. Pick two of the buttons and program one with the drop down for that button as for Call ID indicate ( personal or common) and the other for Call ID select (personal or common). This will give you the ability to scroll through the numbers and information. If you have the two line LCD which I think you do, you may not need the select button since it will show all of the info on the screen at one time with out having to select whether you are looking at the numbers or names, and the arrows scroll forward and backward once teh info is displayed.
FYI don't be shocked if you are disapointed in the results. This is the biggest feature that we get complaints about as far as the phones go. Panasonic really didn't make this feature user ( particularly the older ones) friendly.

Gonzo is correct. You must also assign this feature to one of the flexible buttons with an LED.

Yes the 7736 is a 2 line display, so all you need is CID-Indication feature assigned to one button.

And Gonzo is also correct, it works.... but is basically useless in real life.
