Hey everyone I am here and listening. Jordan was contracted by us to figure out what we could not. I am very sorry some of our codes, pin outs are not CI friendly. I will make every attempt to work with Jordan to make sure we get this problem fixed. I hope you all understand that we are a growing company and as Jordan said our factory in Taiwan does not understand the game of custom integration. So it needs to come from the good folks such as yourselves to assist Jordan and I in knowing what is best for you all to work with. I want everything to be smooth and easy for you all. Please do work with Jordan and I to get things straight. Jordan is a great guy and has helped us tons.

I hope this thread can return to a positive tone and we can all learn and make positive and constructive criticism so we at Pantel can makes things better for each of you to work with our product.

I personally take responsibility for the lack of knowledge in coding. I am learning a lot from Jordan but am far from the knowledge you all carry.

Please let myself or Jordan know how we can make things better in the future of our product line. I am personally here to reach out to you all becasue you are our backbone. I appreciate what you all do in all sincerity.

Jordan has really done the best he could with what we provided him. We will work to have changes to make things easier and more compliant with what you CI's need or want.

I welcome feedback or your knowledge in what we can change at factory level to mak things better. I hope that me being here and reaching out to you all shows we do care and we are not just a business who builds TV's and says go away. We welcome your feedback. I have personally talked with many un-happy CI's and I treat it rather then tell them what they want to hear into what can we fix or do to assist you in the future so your problem is solved. I commit to this as we grow and stay in the AV industry.

As for the mirror TV's yes it should be the same protocol as the outdoor units. They use the same chip sets and boards.

If anything I have said is illiterate or doesn't make sense excuse me for my ignorance when it comes to custom installations. One day I would my syaff and myself to come out and learn from each of you. I have a lot of learning to do myself.

You all are always welcome to email me. I will listen, and take your feedback serious.

Thank You,

Joe Pantel

Hi,
I was trying to get mirror TV vorking via RS232 today with no success.
I'm getting responses from unit so there is a communication and connection is there, but not the ones I'm expecting (as detailed in RS232 document) so there is something wrong.

I'm wandering if protocol is different. Connector is male, not female like on outdoor units, but pin-out is still reversed.

Did anyone had any success controling mirror TV via serial?

I'm on the deadline here and any help would be appreciated.

As a backup, I took apart the unit and stuffed IR emmiter inside (miror face do not lend itself too well to sticking emmiters...

Good luck finding anything on Pantel, company is long gone. Even Bob Pantel's bankruptcy lawyer is looking for him. If you find him post the info here or RC Mail me. I would just love to pass that info along.
