Was upset to learn after March that Pioneer will no longer be building any rear projections and was looking for a decent replacement to the line. Has anyone had any experience (good or bad welcome) with the new RCA Scenium line? I see they offer rear projection, DLP's and plasma. Although I think rear projection has a limited life in the market it is still the best cost effective product for high definition viewing. Anyways thanks in advance for your help
One thing I have learned in this industry. It is easier to pull a wire than it is to push one.

Soon, Mitsubishi and SOny will be the only ones left selling CRT Based rear projection, and I would give sony 3-5 years tops before they are all DLP/LCD LCoS Based....

Mits is just getting into LCoS this year, so they might stick with CRT for a while after that, but the market is definatly shifting.

I am going to purchase the CEDIA special to test the RPTV 50" DLP model. HDTV tuner built in with a HDTV PVR. THey are not yet shipping the second batch. stay tuned! Reason for testing...features, control and brand recognition.
I may be schizophrenic, but at least I have each other.
