Hey Mr. Impact....are you asleep??? Paging Mr. Impact...Mr. Impact to thread locking.

Mr. Impact, your needed in the Thread Locking Department.

I'm lurking. :)

I'm pretty amazed that this (and the healthcare thread for that matter) have remained relatively civil. I dont close threads for the sake of closing threads. Threads get closed when people start crossing "the line".

Continue on. I think that one person is lying though! maybe that other one too!

look down.. SHOCKING!

***Disclamer: This post is being made by Trent Mulligan, NOT Trent@AVocation, even though it's being made under that moniker. I felt that creating a new profile for a single thread would be cumbersome, especially since I would have to tie it to my main account for it to make any sense anyway. For those of you that don't know, my company is a manufacturer of audio/video distribution products made for the CI channel. End Disclaimer***

I have no way of knowing how true the other disparaging remarks made here about Brent Huskins are because I wasn't personally involved in those instances. HOWEVER, I can speak from my own personal experience because the company I work for HAS had specific dealings with Mr. Huskins. It started shortly before I came on board in 2008 and ended shortly thereafter. Mr. Huskins COMPLETELY defrauded the company I work for, pure and simple. There's no other way to say it. It wasn't a misunderstanding, it wasn't a disagreement, it was flat out fraud.

I was shocked to see him pop up here because he certainly never responded to the dozens of requests my company sent him to try and make things right. This is a small industry that's built on relationships and trust. Because of that, it's actually not so difficult to defraud a company if you don't really care about the consequences. Trying to take legal action in these matters can often be more expensive than the fraud itself, which is why it's somewhat common to just write them off.

The company I work for has long since moved on from this unfortunate event, but they did happen to save every shred of evidence it had in its dealings with this unsavory gentleman should the need arise. There are several manufacturers that post in this forum. I'd love to hear from any who've had positive dealings with this individual. My guess is...we're gonna hear crickets...

Just tired of seeing a thread I don't give a darn about keep dominating the headlines.

When I have a bad transaction on Ebay, I use my Buyer Protection services, I don't chase after people in whatever Forum they might be associated with.

We never bought anything from your company...how is that fraud? I believe you sent a sample piece out once but that was it. I haven't been in that business for several years now so that's about the only thing I can think of...this is just getting rediculous

Trent, with due respect, if you're going to publicly claim that someone defrauded someone, state your case and what you are claiming they did. Otherwise say nothing at all. Just saying things like he "COMPLETELY defrauded us" with 0 details is not appropriate.

Hey Fins, did Eustace Conway ever pay you for that Elan G system you put in his cabin???

Didn't he claim on Mountain Men that an AV integrator hadn't delivered all his equipment he ordered????

How did you power up the rack of equipment? hamster wheel???

hobbieusa, maybe it's been asked and answered and I missed it, but I don't think so. Would you PLEASE explain, without avoiding the question, how you refused the package AND know he did not replace the caps in the unit? WHEN did you open the unit up to see that the caps were not changed, and how could you have done that if you refused it? Here's what I've got so far:

- The product was dropped off at your house.
- You took it back to the UPS center to refuse it?
- You also say you inspected it in front of the UPS driver (how can this be if it was dropped of or taken back to the UPS center, and how could you open the unit and take pictures if you also refused it)

How about a simple clear timeline?

To be clear, I have no idea who's telling the truth here, and it's possible you're just assuming we can read between the lines of your story and figure this all out, but at this point, your story isn't clear and isn't making any sense to me. I'm not sure Brent's is either for that matter, but you're the one making the charge.

These two both sound like scammers.
I came into this game for the action, the excitement. Go anywhere, travel light, get in, get out, wherever there's AV trouble, a man alone.

Please see UPS 1ZY502W10*39*0015619.

UPS weighed the package and gave a receipt with the actual weight on there.
*39* pounds and 4 ounces.

So the tracking number had 39 in it? And the weight had 39 in out? This is amazing, it looks like there are signs everywhere of the all powerful 39 Cent Stamp. Have you all looked at the burn patters on your toast this morning? Sure enough, it's there. 39.
