All I've heard is the following from one of their recent press releases:

"The prototype HD receiver will feature built-in DIRECTV standard definition, DIRECTV HD, all-format ATSC, and NTSC tuners housed in a unique silver chassis to complement Sony's latest line of television sets. Product availability and pricing will be announced this fall."

Saw what is supossed to be the replacement model, SAT-HD200 at sony show.
Will not be availabe until september!
Sony is being beat up by HOllywood in terms of HD outputs. Unit will feature DVI-HD connector that will authenticate connection between HD Sat and DVI equiped TV. No word as to whether RGB and Component outputs will be allowed to pass HD content.
Members of this forum and their customers can thank Jack Valenti and the MPAA for this ridiculus state of affairs!
