In the ongoing saga of remotes for clients catagory. We stopped doing Phillips because of the attrocity that was the TSU-3000. We now only do Marantz RC5200 and RC9200's. At CEDIA they showed the RC5400 riding the same platform as the TSU-3000. Marantz is going to be using the same processor and software for this new remote. Concequently we are looking to replace it before we are left with 10 remotes in the field that are pos. What is every one using out there for remotes. I saw the MX-3000 at the show and it looked very promising. I'm not sure about the MX-800 because I have button phobia for my customers, but if it works then it could be the entry level remote. We also looked at RTI and they looked nice with the programable RF package, but I have seen them in the field from other dealers around and customers hate them. Can we get a thread together talking about what every one uses and why? Thanks all.

why have button phobia for your customers? My customers prefer something they can feel so they don't have to continually look at the thing to make sure they're hitting the right button.
We can do it my way, or we can do it my way while I yell. The choice is yours.

Have you tried out the TSU-3000 since the firmware updates and Pronto Edit NG update? It is a different remote now. Much more reliable. Try one out with the new updates and I think you might change your mind about the remote.

Marantz has waited intentionally to release the RC5400. THe TSU-3000 is pretty stable now, and marantz always add their own tweaks to the Firmware/OS.

Personally, I'm not a big fan of the TSU3000, but will support the RC5400 fully.
