Humm in syaystem @ bar. cable & sat into modulator, out of modulator to 3-way spliter, out of spliter to 3 tv's, 1 tv has audio out into mixer, out of mixer into amp. when ever u turn volume up i get a humm...if i disconect cable from modulator it stops, ..... i have replaced audio cables, the tv with audio outs, bypassed mod & spliter, ran audio cables from sat box into mixer and still get that damn humm..( the purpose for the system is so football can be played through speaker system along with mic) please help!!! i have to go back and hopefully fix it. was thinking of getting a ground loop iso for audio cables, think that would do it?

You said it only stops humming if you disconnect the cable from modulator. It sounds like you need a ground isolating transformer for the incoming CATV feed.

Definalty soulds like a Cable ground loop problem... Very common. Tributaries makes a Ground Gard that goes inline on the cable line that works very well... Bout $100 retail if memory serves.
Other option would to be to in install a Power conditioner like a Monster Power HTS1000 that has a Filtering circuit for Cable (And Sat) that can not only fix that current problem but will also clean up a lot of other interference on the Power....
