i just got rca ultima tv dss reciever and cant get my ir system to work on it. its like im not hitting the ir point but have tried moving it to no avail

any body run in to this????

would realy like to use the record pause and all

its a rca unit. just wont respond remotely located does fine with remote seeing unit.

The RCA IR frequency is at 56 kHz, not the more standard 38 to 40 kHz. Some IR equipment does not handle the higher frequency.

AudioPlex has sensors that work at 40, 56, or both 40 and 56 kHz. One of thses should solve your problem. I buy the 40 and 56 combo units so that later brand substitution won't require a change in the IR system.

But, as was said, what do you have now?

im using a xantech ir system
the remote is a mx700
