Hi there. I'm evaluating the Marantz hard disc music server, which uses the Imerge software and comes with the Xiva Producer PC client. Does anyone know of a better client? There appears to be no way of rearranging tracks on the server into different albums once they've been uploaded.

If you want better software, you'll have to get a better server. (like audio request)

:) Fair call. Discovered another oddity last week - the playlists only seem to hold up to 100 tracks. Kinda defeats the point of being able to store 1000's of tracks on the box if you can only arrange them in groups of 100.

Anyone up for hacking the OS and 'fixing' the interface? :)

I know with the Escient Fireball, you can stack Playlists within playlists to expand the 300 Song limit per playlist....

Not sure on the Marantz......

.....from the Imerge website.

You can extend playlists by putting them in the presets facility, thereby linking your lists into one long one.

I wouldn't waste your time trying to 'improve' the unit. Better off with an alternative. Also you cannot add music in any quantity, only by track.
Sticking to what I'm good at.
