I am trying to get a projector to turn on and off but can't figure out how to make a long ir command (to turn on the proj, you have to press and hold for three seconds the on button, same for off, but with the off button). Any help or suggestions, or discrete codes would be much appreciated.

This is covered in the FAQs, but I can't tell you where. Also, in the Pronto section, a recent thread, a month or less old, named "long button push" or something like that, has an explanation from yours truly. Looks like I need to make a .doc file so I can copy and paste this. This comes up quite often lately.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

I believe you can also set the Runco to respond to a standard Pulsed OFF command instead of the press/hold command in the menu system
