Does it still drop the audio if the same source command
is issued?

Drop the audio? Meaning if the same command is hit the audio turns completely off or simply that the command is issued again and the input syncs again?

Hoping its not the first so it I dont have to head back there!

Doesn't shut completely off, but the length of time it takes for both the video & audio to commence again is quite long....

I can confirm that my 3808CI does this. I just updated the firmware last week and this function does now work.

It works on the 1609 on up. I tested it today on the 1609,1709,2309 and 2809.

What does that mean "input settings can be locked" is
that a way to not lose sync if the selected input is selected
again?

No, it means the end user cannot go in to the setup menu when he's bored, push buttons changing things, and then call you for a service call because he's seeing the dvd picture while the cable box audio is playing ...

Can you tell I've had such a client?

not sure how to lock the input assignments. i know how to turn on the "setup lock", but any client can overcome that lock (just select unlock... how is that a lock anyway, Denon??).

This unit was "out of the box" meaning I didnt have to do any firmware updates to gain this function, so if its not working with the 232 codes then it probably either doest work or is a new code. If it doesnt work, it is worth using IR for initial power and input.
