Exactly.

The CC12 is one DPDT relay. The CC62 is six DPDT relays. Each product can be modified by the Xantech remote so multiple units can be used in the same install with not control clash.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

A simple and inexpensive was to get dry contacts from IR is using a IR AB switch. about 30 bucks worth of parts, and it works like a charm.
Xantech's CC12 is the best, but the AB switch is a good fix if you dont have Xantech available at the time.

I'm guessing you are referring to the Radio Schlock item. It is a good antenna A-B switch, and definitely can be used as a dry contact.

And also, unfortunately, responds to older Sony DSS remote controls. About ten of the buttons on the remote for the older full-size Sony DSS receivers will switch this unit to "A" and about ten other buttons will switch it to "B." I think the Sony "50" units are the last ones that will control this.

It's the kind of thing that, if you think about it, we should be running into all the time, but this is the only time I have heard of it aside from a thread somewhere here about Runco projectors and Lexicon units...and that thread was never clarified by the original poster.

There was an older Adcom preamp that used to respond to Manhattan cable box codes.

It was the job where I learned to always make a phone call no matter how futile you think it might be. Turns out the Adcom had a second codeset you could switch to by snipping a capacitor inside the unit and it's remote. Who'da thought?

How bout a list? Items an IR A-B switch can control. What other parts are needed.

I have an extra. I want to use it to control a light in the basement currently on a sp switch 110vac. How can I incorporate this simple item into my HT using my mx-700?

Thanx, BNC

EBG thread was never elaborated upon because CL500 was sold before details could be enumerated, but there was definitly IR interaction. Sorry for not giving the opportunity to elucidate.
