I have yet to have an LG BR give up the ghost other than the first BH100. With my luck, they will now start breaking.

OPPO! Love em. They make two exceptional models. One is in your price point. Just cant make any money on them. But impressive in deed.

Oppo is our go-to player as well. Not sure if they're still signing up dealers or not. Don't make a lot of money on them but something is better than nothing. The fact that they just plain work is worth it. Of course it doesn't hurt that I can pick up a player at their office after a ten minute drive!

The other 'player' that is killer, but in a different league is the Kaleidescape Cinema One. Absolutely the fastest Blu-ray player out there.

I prefer LG. We use them exclusively if client doesn't get Integra. Rarely ever an issue and menus and set up are SUPER easy. Sony the worst. And whats up with all the fugged up dimensions these days? Crazy stupid.

In addition to the dimensions, how about control locations? Can I work out getting an LG onto a rack shelf... only to find the power or eject is on the top of the thing? People simply WILL want to eject by hand.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

I'm done specifying junk players...you know, the 300$ and under usual suspects. Been using Oppo 103's exclusively for a while now and am very impressed, so much so I brought one home for myself. Full chassis that actually looks like a real piece of equipment, it's heavy (yes that's a good thing), quiet, fast, front buttons that make sense, discrete for power and Netflix/Vudu (should you want to use those features), 232 and rear IR input. 500 bucks. Best deal in disc/media players out there IMO. Oh and the image and sound quality is better too, not that any of that really matters though right?

I use Panasonic ones.
Other than opening the chassis to bury IR emitter, it's got all the functions I'm regularly using, including Netflix and few others.

My clients do not want to spend $500 on BD when fricken BB, Costco and others have them (BDs not Oppo) for sub-$100.

I know, I know; apples and oranges.
