I just ordered an Infocus X1, an entry level projector option for the showroom. Im debating as to wether or not to get an Iscan Ultra to improve the OTA television on the display. The X1 is a native 800x600 DLP and it has a pretty good Faroudja DCDI onboard. Whaddya think is it overkill.
Your input is appreciated

THe roblem with all of the DVD producst is that they only output 640x480 Progressive output. The projector will still need to Rescale the image. This makes the Iscan great for CRT based TV's, but pretty useless for DLP/LCD applications.
If your going to bypass the DCDI circuit, you NEED a scaler that will output the 800x600 Native rate of the projector. The Crystal Image VS4.0 is my first choice for Vaule, but stil may out of the price range of a X1
Stick with the Internal DCDi................

Thats what i thought, i was trying to get the output data on the dvdo website but couldnt find it. Where can i get info about the crystal image??? Short of a Faroudja NRS it sounds like a good deal.
