Hello, I Am Scott. I am a General manager for a trolley ghost tour in Key West, Fla. I was a CI for 7 years, and also ave worked behind the scenes in the music industry (lighting, sound, etc.). I currently live on a boat, so I do not have the toys that I used to. I do have a PS3, LED TV, HP DV6 (4g) laptop, and a really good ceramic space heater. The trolley has lots of toys on it, lighting, sound bytes, DVD slide show, and I keep adding fun stuff to it. Its been a while since I've been in the CI, and remote programming field, so I am sure my knowledge is way outdated. Nice to met everyone, and I am a noob, so you don't have to remind me.

I'm a audio video buff. I appreciate good audio, video and enjoy keeping up with the AV industry. I had a DVD player before blockbuster rented movies.
I'm a licensed IBEW master electrician who has worked on some pretty large projects in Toronto Canada over the last 20 years. I've been involved building theaters for Cineplex, Empire and worked with AV technicians at Universities, boardrooms, hospitals, hotels etc. across the GTA. I've worked with lighting control systems from both Lutron and Leviton on large commercial applications. I've also worked networking schools, banks and anything else involving Ethernet cabling. I've punched down my share of cabling. I also have a back ground in PLC's (programmable logic controllers) in the industrial automation side of the electrical business. Remote macros don't scare me!!!!
I've also spent the last 25 years working in the motorcycle racing industry. Recently, it has become my bread and butter. I currently work for Michael Jordan Motorsports as a race engineer in the DMG superbike series in the U.S. I've built auto-sport wiring harness's from scratch for super bike racing and work with engine management and data acquisition systems from Motec. I also work on chassis set-up and design with our other engineers and riders.
I've recently been interested in the automation, audio, video distribution and lighting side of the CI industry and I may pursue a business as an electrical custom Installer/contractor. I'm presently using a MX-5000 and MSC-400 to control my theater. I've done all my own graphics and programming and have things working like a pro!
I enjoy the forum and learning from some of the pros........
Thanks for the help, Karl

I know I've got a few post running around the fourm but, I don't think I've ever taken the time to introduce myself.
I'm an Audio Engineer B.S. and Mechanical Engineering Director (13 years).
I have worked with lots of projects and bands over the years from big name musicians to major audio installations for theaters, night clubs and churches.
Needless to say, home audio and remote home automation is not exactly my calling but, I have adapted well over the years due to my pro audio and electrical background.
I have worked close with some A/V installers over the years and have learned quit a bit about URC and some about Crestron. I'm not a video buff by any means but, I do have great home theater setup that I am constantly tinkering with.
I appriciate all the help I have received here on the fourm and will be glad to return the help if I can.
Thanks to all, you are a great group.

Hi. I am new to the forum here. I am a CI that has been doing automation for about 6 years. Prior to that I was using Prontos and URC all of the tme. I am now using Crestron and Control4. We are out of Scottsdale, Arizona. We are one of the largest Control4 dealers in the Western US. We are currelntly working on the $20 Million dollar house being discussed in this forum and CE Pro. We have been in business here for over 10 years and we are enjoying every minute of it.
I LOVE MY JOB.

I work for ADI and have been in the CI industry for almost 10 years.
While ADI has long been known as a "Security" distributor, over the past 10 years we have become a very large Residential and Commercial AV distributor.
If anyone has questions regarding product please fill free to send me a PM. Although I work out of the Mid-Atlantic I will be more than happy to help any dealers throughout the country.

My name is Craig,
I'm in the Toronto area and have been installing home audio systems, part time, for about 12 years. I'm a full-time Firefighter and also a part time Ambulance dispatcher.
The Home Theater thing for me is a labour of love so I can play with all the new toys. I love electronics and take pride in installing a well organized, good sounding system. I only take on one project at a time and have a loyal client base that keeps me busy.
I don't do huge elaborate theater rooms and amazing automation systems like allot of other guys, but I sure can appreciate them. I mostly do one room systems and multi-room music set ups.
I don't post much, but read this forum often.
Thanks for all of the help over the years.
Craig
