Hey Kevin, it's good to see you here. Your signature kills me but I'll just have to take that as a challenge.
For all of you guys just meeting Kevin I have nothing but good things to say about him. We met when our companies crossed paths on a job where he was finishing out some AV that was purchased through the builder and I was contracted by the home owner. It was a bit strange of a situation at first and we both made the best of it. By the end of the day we witnessed a master bedroom wall that was made to look like swiss cheese by a DirecTV installer with little to no brains. We've been friends since and Kevin reminds me of Cory in the aspect that his head and his heart are in the right place to be one of the greats in this industry. He is a class act so please accept him with a warm welcome.

Have fun driving through the fire bro! You wouldn't catch me anywhere near Hwy 166 right now. It's hard enough to breathe her let alone driving into the lions mouth.

Looooong time reader first time poster.

Great little resource you guys have here :)

A little about me well, I started out fitting out nightclubs when I was 16 and have gradually worked my way over to control systems cutting my teeth with AMX then a few Crestron jobs but always been playing with RTI which is pretty much now my bread and butter.

Love AV and love control systems!

I'm the founder of Just Add Power - new to this community, but have been in business for 17 years. I heard through the grape fine that our HDMI over IP solution was being discussed here, so I thought I should make myself available to answer questions.

Great to see you here Nded. You have a very interesting product :). The title of the CEPro article "Game Changing" is appropriate IMO.

Just thought I would pop in to say "Hi". One of my collegues mentioned that my transducer style speakers were being discussed in a forum here, read through that and decided to sign up. I was a CI for 18 years before moving to the dark side "manufacturing" and I always am willing to give my $0.02 worth! ;)

Hello. I'm Rick. My first summer job was working for a commercial audio rep in California re-felting turntable platters for radio stations.

My first real job in the late 80's as a high school freshman was working for a commercial audio company on the weekends. I started as a shop hand responsible for servicing all of the rack equipment and lighting gear. Later they added testing the speaker stacks for damage when a system came back from an event. That was a fun job. I worked for that company every weekend for almost six years.

My first full time job was working as a sales counselor at Circuit City. I was later asked to join the experimental Circuit City Custom Installation team as an installer. They started me as the lead installer in the Phoenix market .That was years and years before fire dog.

In 2000 I started my own company primarily working for retailers. I was forced to closed my business after a traffic accident in October of 08' trashed my right shoulder.

I moved to Vancouver Washington in August where I'm currently studying for my 06 limited energy test. Being that I'm on the border of WA and OR I hope to take my LEB test in Oregon by the end of the month. I should be able to start over and drum up some business being licensed in three states.

Hello icutfc, I started in AV at age 12 also. I was the cleaning boy for a high end retail shop. I learned to hate all things Krell and Mark Levinson because of the weight :). It sucked to lift those monsters at 12 years old. I continued to work there as the cleaning boy until 18 when i started full time as an apprentice installer.

My favorite part of working there was that i got to learn about snake oil cables etc and i even had the pleasure to try out one of the green CD pens that most people dont even know about these days.

Glad to hear I was not the only kid getting paid under the table. Funny how we all started on a different spokes and slowly gravitated here.

I have WhiteVan to thank for encouraging me to stop lurking.
