Hello Remote Central,

I just joined, although I have often found myself reading through the forum in the past.

I help run a small, family-owned custom home theater and home automation installation company in the Chicago area. We have been in business since 2006.

My educational background is in art. I graduated from The Illinois Institute of Art in Chicago with a BFA, majoring in multi-media and web design.

I also worked in a hardware store from high school, all the way through college, and two years after graduation as a manager in one of the departments.

In 2006, after realizing that my passion for web design was dwindling, I decided to make a change. A family member started Inspired Electronics, Inc. and I was brought on to help run the business.

It's nice to finally be working in a field I love.

It's also nice to be a part of the forum, thanks for being such an active online community! I'm looking forward to it!

What's up Remote Central,

Finally joined after being told about the site from whitevan lifestyle. I live on the central coast of California and work as the Regional lead Technician for C&R Systems Inc. I've been in the industry for about 4 years. It all started when i worked for wal-mart as a CCTV technician traveling to various remodels and new build stores installing CCTV equipment. I realized i loved low voltage, so i left and went to work for C&R Systems Inc. in Corona, Ca. After working my way up through the company i was promoted to Regional Lead Technician in San Luis Obispo, Ca. So, Here i am now living the life. My interest are URC remote, home theaters, home audio, and intergration. My next endevor is crestron. I am waiting for Whitevan lifestyle to take me under his wing and show me some crestron ropes. My newest toy is an URC mx-3000. So far this remote is a blast and i dont think i will ever stop playing with it. Thanks remotecentral

Welcome 1touch. You should edit your signature to say "WE ARE THE BEST IN CA" or "WE ARE ALMOST AS GOOD AS THE STAMP" :). I like the website. Tell your boss i cracked the code for the login to see product offerings. The 'password' was easy to guess :).

WVL is a good wing to be under.

Hey 1touch, I like the MX-3000 as well. Make sure you check out the MX-6000 and the newer MX-5000 wand-style remote.

As fun as those are though... I still love my old standby... the MX-900. Oh how I love that trusty old remote.
