Hey all! Long time lurker, in fact, I know I had an account here in past, don't know where it went. Played with Prontos for years, and these days I work for a ProSound company and we do Audio/Video/Automation for schools, houses of worship, boardrooms, govt., Etc. I have been programming Crestron for a while now, but the only Resi I have done is my own house. Been to a few Crestron classes, will probably go in for certification this year. I have my NSCA C-EST, and a few CompTIA certs. I was in IT before I switched to AV.

Thought I would finally post and say Hi.

Hi Everyone.

My name is Deniz and I started in Pro Audio Concert and Studio production as a Performer and Sound Engineer in the 80's. I started in the Home and Marine Theater industry in 1990 and After many years of attics and bilges I can still say I love what I do. I started my own company Audio Video Concepts Inc in 2001 and though we are a small team of 4 we approach our projects with a professionalism you would all expect from any company representing our industry. I want to thank you all for the great advice I received in the past and also for the good post reading.

My name is Aaron. I have a small company called NTDesigns and we provide touchpanel graphics and templates for Crestron, AMX, RTI, Pronto, URC and other touchscreen based devices. I've been in the A/V industry for...I don't know, a long time. I realized pretty quickly that I didn't like doing prewires in subfreezing temperatures so I started learning about the programming end of things. I jumped through all the necessary Crestron hoops to get certified, but my primary interest is the interface side of programming. I hope I can give as much useful assistance on this forum as I receive from it!

Good Day Eh,

My name is Graham and I am located near Toronto, Ontario, Canada. I have been in the AV business for about 15 years now. Our company specializes in distributed AV solutions in the Residential, Pro and Commercial categories. I happened upon this forum looking for some answers on a URC remote and found that alot of you guys actually know what you're talking about.

I had signed up on a few AV forums but quickly got annoyed at all of the DIY and hack advice. So it's nice to come here and read some actual sensical posts.

Glad to be here and looking forward to your advice. And I may even be able to add a bit of knowledge too.......

Cheers,

Graham

Hello all....
My name is Jonathan, I got started in the ci field programming Lexicon 700t (RTI made these) remotes, and then started programing RTI T2's for the same dealer.  I moved from IT to CI full time in 2003 and never looked back.  I am a certified Homeworks Programmer/Installer, Netstreams, and Colorado V.net.  I like Japanese animation, Automobiles, and anything with an MAC address...  Currently have a Hitachi PJ52 projector/Draper Screen/Pioneer Elite Receiver and B&W speakers, hooked up to Verizon FIOS goodness.

Are you calling Verizon FIOS, "goodness"? Or were you just taking a breath? :)

Hi I'm Kevin

Started electronics in 1974 for the Gov. Worked for small TV repair shops in the late 70's. Started in business 1984 with a couple co-workers installing satellite systems. That evolved into construction, consulting, and anything else the client will pay for. Still at it with extra time now to type this. (damn)

We are located half-way between San Francisco and Sacramento.

Well, It is time I posted here. I have been in the buisness officially since 1992, but unofficially for a few more years than that. Remember when the Niles Intellipad was state of the art, and Runco training with Andy was more about drinking than learning about the products. If I spell any words wrong, that is because I can't spell worth a @#$%. When I post, I am very short and to the point, it takes me a long time to type what I am thinking.

Always tring to improve myself, and tring to be the best I can. Tell me it can't be done, and I will show you it can. Love what I do. The company I work for started with just me as an installer, and has grown to 5 installers, 2 programers, and 2 office staff (this does not count sales staff), this is after losing 4 people with the current slow down.

I am a part time installer, part time designer, and part time project manager. Most of the down falls of owning the buiness, without the financial benifits. I stay where I am at because our company brings in the big jobs, the ones I like to work on. Most of the jobs I work on are upper 5 or 6 figures, 2 have been 7 figures.

Have installed many brands over the years. Polk, Paradigm, Revel, Klipsch, MTX, Martin Logan, Yamaha, Sony, Marantz, JVC, Pioneer, Kenwood, Proceed, Mark Levinson, Carver, Sunfire, Anthem, Parasound, Runco, Mitsubushi, Toshiba, Hitachi, Sharp, Niles, Russound, AMX, Savant, Lutron, Sonance, Channel Master, Channel Vision, & USTec.
