Steve,
I've used them when I had multiple receivers and one of the 3 would only work at a range of about 15 ft. Any closer and no bueno. A.Plex claimed the signal strength was to high and flooding the gear.
While the new emitters did reduce the amount of signal from the problemed receiver it also reduced the signal from the other 2. So, in my case they did not solve my problem but they did seem to work well. Just don't use them with systems with multiple targets.

I haven't tried them, but always liked Audioplex gear. Never have had a problem.

CMack,

Your problem was incorrectly diagnosed by the tech support person. When one receiver/sensor has reduced range and the others do not, the problem is either a defective sensor or interference at that location only - probably a defective sensor.

The symptom could be alleviated by reducing the emitter level, but as you found out, it created a problem with the two good sensors.

Adjustable emitters are a good idea, since repositioning emitters after they have been stuck down nearly always creates a service call in a few years to replace the stickypad after the emitter falls off.

Best Regards,

-Eric
