Unless its a Roger Rabbit referance, PPPPPPPPPleeeease (very poor roger rabbit impression)

Cooler minds will prevail, this is too valuable of a resource to screw up with trivial BS.

Being threatned via internet has always baffled me as well as keeping it going on with further agrivation posts.

The best advice of all don't respond and contact admin. But that allready has been said, at least once or twice. Arguing takes way to much time out of my life.

Wow! I just got back from a weekend getaway with the family. We put the kiddies to bed and I grabbed a beer and sat down to catch back up on my 3 missed days of "As the Remote Turns" only to find Daniel up and went Death Star on the whole durn thing.

I must say the part of me that likes a good car wreck or bar fight is sad to see it go. But the part of me that refers friends here for all of the great information and industry insight is happy to see it back to where it belongs.

Well done, Daniel.

Nice introduction to the remotecentral twelve-step meeting.

For those who didn't recognize it, a maroon is a person who lives on the border between a red state and a blue state, so has some of both.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

I think that the way you have run things has been perfect. I'd much rather people learn to handle their own actions rather than have a lot of moderation. It might be helpful to make your post a sticky so that new people can read it before posting.

I'm a strong believer in "arguments can eventually work
themselves out amongst mature adults". And for a decade
it has worked [mostly] without issue. I just looked at
the accounts database, and there has only been 2 other
suspended members with more than 10 posts.

However, lately, too many people have been playing keyboard
commando, and on the flip side of the coin too many people
have been flying off the handle at the drop of a hat.

If people can remain calm enough so that when they see
something that irks them, instead of firing off an even
more inflammatory response, instead take a deep breath,
go make a cup of coffee or have fun with the family, and
then later come back and perhaps if they still feel its
warranted, post a reasoned and intelligent response.

I hope that with "the great cleaning" we can return to
the type of helpful and friendly forum membership that
I've been proud to talk about at Expo - one that doesn't
actually *need* AVS-style moderation. It may have become
necessary in this circumstance, but let's not make it
necessary again.

In future,

1) If you have a concern about the direction that a thread
is taking, don't post about it - PM or email me and I'll
take a look at it. Soon enough there will be additional
moderators you can also contact.

2) If you have a problem with a member, again don't post
- PM or email me. Include specifics of what the problem
is. Throughout this recent event I heard privately from
only 3 members about a certain other member. Smoke makes
it easier to find the fire.

Finally, anyone marked as "suspended" is not permanently
banned, but must request reinstatement privately.
I'm not a pro
