I'm sorry it came to this. This should not be about IP vs. RC but I can see how it could easily be construed that way. Obviously things have not gone well for DDarche but in my opinion his actions required moderation a long time ago and he certainly should not have been allowed back without some serious discussion and apologies. Taking the approach of if you don't like it then don't participate only goes so far and self policing only goes so far. So now a few guys are suspended=banned because they were fed up with what was being allowed to go on that should have been controlled in the first place.

Somewhere in this mess is a Jerry Springer episode. We'll let Stanley write the script.

Daniel, I'm sorry you were put in the position you were. I have been coming here for a lot of years and appreciate all your hard work and improvements you've made to the site. Your site has been a great resource for me, as well as so many others.

I've tried to stay out of all the mud slinging here, it only makes things worse. So to everyone else, please have respect for each other. Help each other out, and bite your tongue more often. It will keep this site more friendly, and make Daniel's job a lot easier.

I'm also curious if those individuals involved will report to you
having received such an apology.

I would. Hell, I'd sing it from the mountain tops.

Sorry it's come to this, one and all. Daniel, you're the man! I applaud you for taking the position of leadership and making the hard decisions. I hope not to get myself banned in the future as I know full well that I've walked a fine line in days past.

Agreed. Daniel's been a great host, and has shown some admirable restraint. Everyone should behave and play nice.

I loooooove hard moderation.

The IP vs RC stuff is stupid. A couple guys have decided they wanted to pick a side, but that doesn't mean that any body else needs to follow them. I liked things the way they were before the Great Kerfuffle: Let us return to balance and harmony. I'm sure Daniel wants that.

I admit it. I love the word Kerfuffle. I'm a Kerfufflite. I'm Kerfufflatious. I like to Kerfufflize.

I don't mean to imply that some recents events were no big deal, but in the Big Picure.... it was and is a Kerfuffle.

Main Entry:
ker·fuf·fle Listen to the pronunciation of kerfuffle
Pronunciation:
\kər-ˈfə-fəl\
Function:
noun
Etymology:
alteration of carfuffle, from Scots car- (probably from Scottish Gaelic cearr wrong, awkward) + fuffle to become disheveled
Date:
1946

chiefly British : disturbance, fuss

That's only because your on the right side of the border to possibly have a teacher that would even concider using a word like Kerfuffle. And 2nd grade seems like the perfect time for a teacher to find the correct useage.

I can't find the one were he was talking about US being a party on the fist floor and Canada being on the second floor looking down all pissed. I think it was off his live on Broadway very funny skit!

and right side of the boarder.... depends on what way you are looking! If you look from the pac ocean... I am on the RIGHT side of the boarder... SO THERE!

Did I just get banned?
