Hello....Has anyone tried to, or was able to get a Standard Yamaha RAV-2000 remote working with an RX-Z1 receiver? Looking to replace damaged RAV-2000Z1 remote that came with the unit. I have seen a ccf file on here for a pronto or RAV-2000...But the author says it is not good....

Thanks

CK

I can't answer the first part of your question, but Yamaha has many of their IR commands posted on their website. These are for the RX-Z1.

I explain how to turn these into Pronto hex in this thread:

Hey Jon..

So are these all the codes needed to be able to control every function on the receiver? If so that is great. The only problem is understanding the conversion and getting it into a working file to download to the remote. I gather designing the screens and buttons for the remote and associating the codes is probably the easy part.

Any other help you can provide would be appreciated.

Thanks

Corey

the rav-2000 and the z1 are practicly the same except for the database and make sure you dl rav-select to select the right download version for your remote

Yes I pretty much understand this....But where can I get the file containing all the codes(for the RX-Z1)to download to say the standard RAV-2000 remote? Will I be able to do this even if I did have the file, or does it contain something specific that only allows it to operate on the RAV-2000Z1?

I did see the list of codes that Yamaha provides on there site. I guess if I converted all these, there sounds like a chance I can setup a remote in this manner. This method (might be the only way?) just seems so much longer and time consuming though.

Thanks for all your input.....
