Why? I got my Xantech hidden link set up last night and at first I thought it was broken. After much testing (and swearing) I discovered that it works fine EXCEPT it will not transmit ANY of the discrete codes in my pronto. I can turn the DVD player on and off with the power button on its remote but nothing happens if I use the discrete on or off on the Pronto. Once the DVD player is on though, it will transmit play, ff, chapter skips, etc. What gives? Way too many of my macros rely on discrete codes. What do I do?

Silly Question, But you were not clear in your discription...
Do the Discrete codes work when you point the pronto right at the equipment? (Not through the Xantech System)

Yes, they do. Not a silly question, good point of clarification. Everything works fine with the Xantech out of the picture. Everything but discrete codes work through the Xantech.

There is no reason that I can think of why it would work with the regular commands and not the discretes.
What equipment are you trying to control and if you post the (1)power toggle that works and the discrete (2)On and (3) Off that don't work I'll take a look.
My first guess is that the discrete codes may be off in timing or frequency but work with the Pronto but not when "filtered" through the Xantech system in some way.

I had a problem where my equipment wouldn't work through the Xantech. I had to use the jumpers to push a stronger signal (I'm using an amplified connecting block). One thing I would make sure of, is that the equipment is not operating out side of the frequency of the repeater system. I'm a newbie at this, but it makes sense to me.

Nope. Got it figured out. I got a Bravo D1 DVD player and copied the device of my Panny DVD player and then named one Panny and one Bravo. This somehow corrupted just the discrete codes in the Panny because the discrete power codes link (alias) to another screen where as play, ff, etc. are all learned directly to the keys. Once I re-aliased all the keys it worked fine. Than you everyone for your input. I really appreciate it even though I'm a bonehead.

CJ Paul, thank you for your last comment. I am too often a bonehead, or saying thank you, without realizing that the two so often go hand in hand....
