This thread is also in the satellite forum.

I need one of those rare INSTANT answers, as I am in Northern Arizona at a client's place for one more day before driving back to L.A.

We found that the RCA DTC-100 generally is searching for signal if left alone for hours at a time. If you go to the signal meter, no signal is shown. If you then scan over several transponders, signal starts to show up, and then the receiver will work after you get out of the meter.

Any clues?

Unplugging the unit makes no difference. It is set up as the sole receiver on a 3-LNB dish, and signal is good on all three LNBs when checked. In fact, signal is ALWAYS good on B and C, even when A is not showing anything.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

Sounds like it could be a multi-switch problem, especially if it's a Channel Master dish/switch combo.

Check the signal right from the A LNB before the multi-switch.

Also, check the voltage on the sat-in connection. Make sure it is between 13 and 18 volts.
