I have a question that probably does not have a simple answer,
I have a CD player that connects to some speakers through a large headphone jack, and would like to be able to mute or turn down the volume to 0 through preferably over an FM remote instead of IR, so it can be used from a far distance. I know you can use an in-line remote to manually turn down/mute the device through the manipulation of the audio signal without any modification to speakers or CD player... Is there any way to use a remote along in this fashon?
Thank you,
Max

I don't know of a single integrated product, but you could get the task accomplished with a Xantech RP41AV and the Rf remote of your choice. Though I found it to be a functional disaster, the Rf section of the Denon Aktis was quite good (better than any other consumer level remote I can think of), and it should be able to handle this simple task fairly well. I'd try to see if I could find one on eBay.
