I have a Xantech unit for multi-room audio and video. I recently tried to educate myself on how to use Dragon Drop so I didn't have to call my installers for help. It turns out it was not very user friendly or self explanatory. I was just trying to find out if I can add an all off (power to the zones) instruction from the pads to the main unit. Anyone now where I can get good instruction without having to deal with my installers?

Dragon Drop is not one of the easiest programs to just fire up and operate. In addition, you need a programming box to interface between your computer and the device you will need to program. Do you have one of those?

Did you try the manual? You should be able to get a copy from the same place you got the software. BTW, If you post the model of the system, and the keypads, someone here may be able to point you in the right direction.

I use dragondrop quite a bit, and once you get going, is one of the easiest with which to work.

I don't know which unit you are working with, but you probably just need to a macro on a button that does global and off.

Normally I create 2 buttons on the keypad. One is a global and the other is off. That way the client can either source select in the zone or global source select all of the zones. Same goes for the off command.

Theaterworks is correct in saying you need a PCIR or an URC2 and a proprietary cable to program even if you are successful in creating the macro in Dragondrop.

Good luck.
i wanna go home now
