Hi,

I have this Harman Kardon AVR 525 receiver which I'm trying to install. I would like to use the multiroom IR input to control the second zone. I have tried a Niles surface mount sensor connected to a 1/8 stereo jack and couldn't get it to work. Does anyone know what type of sensor I need? Is it a stereo 1/8" plug or just mono? The manual doesn't state. Any Help?

Bob

you can't drive a reciever directly, it has to be powered separately. 1/8 to 1/8 mono cable between a xantech IR distrabution block and the HK works well.

Thanks,

I'll put it in tomorrow since I have plenty of Xantech stuff around.
