If the rain stays away long enough the festivities down the road in Daytona ought to lift his spirits tomorrow. I hope he got to watch my boy Smoke take the race today. Any day watching NASCAR on the couch beats a day in the hospital. Levi probably got to watch more of speedweeks than I ever will this week. I hope he continues to improve. Anyone that is a Nascar fan is ok in my book...even if they do not pull for the right driver :-)

Hmmm... let's throw Mikey Waltrip in for 3rd place since
he had such a miserable year last year.

Mikey...what a dope! Sure...it was all Toyota's fault.
I think the Joe Gibbs guys are disproving that one pretty quick.
So, go Levi and go Mark!!! (2 thumbs up!!!)

Here Here! I can agree with this one!

Just caught this thread, and while I didn't read everyone's
posts, I did read Radio's posts, and I'm thrilled that
Levi is doing well! Yesssssssirrrrreee!!!

I'm thrilled as well!!

All of you Dale Jr. fans must be wildly happy with his
initial success at HMS, eh?!!!

That would be a 'cautious' understatement ;-)

I'd LOVE to see DJ win in his last 500.

He's earned the right to spend a little time with the 'important' people in his life..........he's always been a very respectable driver and it would 'almost' touch me as much as when Dale senior finally won the 500 in '98.

He's going to have to work for it though.........Hendricks aside, smoke seems to be focused on a win.......

It's going to be an exciting afternoon!

While I'm pulling for Junior at Daytona........

Levi......I'm pullin' for you in the most important 'race' of all!!.....and I KNOW your going to WIN!!

Don't let it get you down......winners never give up! (same advice goes for you dad).

My thoughts are with you.....

Mike.
Every day is a good day.......some are just better than others!

If my recovery (from chemo, just your average full throttle body knocking) at almost sixty can be used as ANY kind of guide, let him rest whenever he wants, and be ready to do things more and more as the energy comes back. You won't be able to stop his spirit from lifting him up out of bed and back into active life, but you'll need to watch for signs that his body is more tired than his spirit, and help him back to the rest that will further reinvigorate him.

God bless you and all of us for being here and sending the love -- energy, if you prefer -- that has buoyed all of you.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

Not quite OUR day at the races....................

Levi had a blast watching the race. Ernie ..you are right..his spirit is wide open but his body is stuck in first gear.

Each day the smiles are wider and longer. That is the most important thing!

Mark did get a little squished there didn't he.
Hey at least you guys aren't Smoke fans like me.
Nothing is worse than having victory snatched on the last lap. AAARGH!
Glad to hear Levi at least got a few smiles out of it and he can tell his grandchildren
he saw the 50th running of the Daytona 500. It was great seeing all the old timers there!

How about an update on the little guy? I have not forgot about him and would like to know if he is out playing like a little kid should? Our thoughts and prayers continue to be with you.

I think radiorhea may have moved over to IP but maybe he will check in the old hood from time to time as I do. RC still has some entertainment value!

Sorry guys! I have been the ill one as of late. In fact, Levi is the only one in the family that did not get this round of sickness.

His IVIG treatment was a large dose of white blood cells and anitbodies. The best of the best as far as infection fighters are concerned. Out of his 80K bill (negotiated down from 125K) the IVIG was 24K.

The doctors said that he would probably not catch anything going around for six months to a year!

He continues to improve and get back to the way things were. He still is dealing with some mental issues from the infection that were expected. And his toes finally peeled......gross! It was one of the symtoms, but he never got it until now.

Kawasaki is a strange disease.........................

One of the positive(+-) things that happened since.....one of his friends was trying to get a rope up in a tree for a tire swing and he fell..................breaking both ankles severly......laid up in Texas Childerns Hospital for a week...........Levi put out an email to all of the familes in our church and let them know how to send a postcard to his friend. Texas Childrens has a postcard system that will allow you to go online.......type a message to the kid that is in the hospital......they print them...........then they have volunteers go around a distribute the cards to the kids. So his friend gets about ten cards a day...............

The kid has a servants heart!

Thanks again for all of the support from everyone!

I have not left RC for IP........I visit both.......still a newbie at IP.....RC is still my home page.
