Learned functions on RC5000,
When a function is repeated the plasma ignores command the second time, a different code has to be sent to get the command to work again. eg. channel up pressed plasma does channel up ok. press channel up again and it ignores this command. Another rc function has to be selected before channel up will work again.

Has anybody got any ideas about this or experience with LG Plasma RC.
Thanks

I'm sorry but I do not have an answer for you, but I do have a question. I recently picked up maxx's plasmas. Supposedly these are rebranded LG units. I have zip for discrete input and power codes. I was wondering if you might have any? I am building a pcf. for one this week and if I find a way around your problem i'll let you know.

thanks

Sounds like an RC-5/6 codeset. You can do a search on the Pronto forum for toggle bit and biphase commnads, you should find some work arounds. The likely cause is the set uses a Philips based remote which sends two alternating commands for each function, sometimes called an "A" and "B" command. The fist time channel up is pressed is sends the "A" version of channel up and tells the tv to look for a "B" coming next. The next time it send a "B" and tells the tv to wait fo an "A". The learning remote probably learned only one of these commands. The wierd thing is that RC5000's are very good at learning toggle bit commands...
