Is there any way of auotomating dish network recievers? I am currently working on a system with an older reciever.(not sure which model, but if it matters I can find out) Anyway, I'm having an terrible time trying to program my tc1000 to work well with this piece of crap. Any solutions? I'm willing to replace the reciever or remote if necessary. The only thing I can't change is the satalite service. The client is too enamored with dish network to change. Please help before this guy kills me.

If you are trying to learn from his remote it could be an RF remote. Look on the front of his remote and see if it has UHF printed on it. If so you can go to the files section and try others CCF's as all Dish units will work with IR even if it came with an RF remote. The only IRD's that use a different remote are the 7100/7200 AKA Dishplayers. Also his receiver will have a little antenna on the back if he is using RF. Echopuke IRD's do not have discete codes either in case you didn't know that.
