Not they have stated "All" rather than "Non Copy protected" Movies.

Yes, we verified this with Escient as well.

Escient have told me that Sony has discontinued the DVP-CX777ES...

It is no longer listed on the Sony website, and Sony have not announced any plans for a replacement.

Escient are working on alternative solutions.

The Escient Vision system will be compatible with the 777ES via an add-on adapter (the CH-1 for one 777 or the CH-4 for up to four).
