I'm all about using good quality products when need be, but in my attic is a good ole $3 rabbit ear set.
I live 30 miles south of Austin, and 40 miles north of San Antonio, and can pull in almost any station static free. Just a thought...

try the TERK AM antenna, is tunable, works great, ~$60
used in several installs. needs to be acessable to tune.
