Here is a fun little survey.

What piece of av equipment do you have that is not being used anywhere near its full potential.

Example

I lost the remote to my Lutron Spacer light switch in my bedroom so I programed my TSU 3000 to do it. That is all that it does.

Now maybe some would say that that is all that remote is worth doing(I might agree),however that is not the point.

Terrible product but the first of it's kind....... An RCA DTC100 Direct TV/off-air HD box.
We use it to for burn-in's and watching local digitals in the shop on a 12" tube TV.

It is actually mounted in our test rack with a leftover faceplate!!!

It's kinda slow to change channels but other than that, picks up all of them just fine with rabbit ears.

The old DTC100 - a true relic.

I don't know, you might not be able to anything more with that piece than let it sit your basement.

I was going to say a top of the line Pioneer Laser disc that I can't even get $20 for on Ebay, but I think Patrick has got me beat on that one.

Hmmm....unless I bring my Sencore CRT calibaration meter into the conversation (that I cannot even get a bid for on Ebay)...F*ck You Sencore...never again!!!

Infocus 7205 that is being used for a printer stand in my bedroom, (2) new velodynes (never opened) in garage... They were on sale at A^^D & seemed like a good deal at the time! A B&O 9000 system unplugged but looking good in my living room... B&O 2500 unplugged on my dresser (my son has his eyes on it)... Denon 3805 running a pair of ADS towers in a dark dingy room in the basement that i never hang out in... 3 Sharp XR10 S presentation projectors in my closet under a pile of jeans...all practically unused... Too many other pair of speakers and surround receivers (everywhere in the house)... A beautiful rosewood encased 1954 Russian Television, 3 old Macintosh computers... A box with about a dozen Harmony and URC remotes some never used.

...And here is the compulsive part... I still go out on Saturdays and Sundays and buy old wierd Hi Fi stuff that I don't need, and stash it in my garage!?!?

Man, no wonder I'm always broke.

3 old Macintosh computers...

I said it once, and I will say it again, if you have a copy of Adobe Illustrator Mac 5.x on any of those machines and they are in working order, you and I need to talk...

I was a line art master back in the day, but I can't make heads or tails of the newer PC versions of Illustrator... It got too complicated for what I did with it.
