Hello, Sorry I have been tuned out for a while but I have to ask for some advice. I have a client with a audio access px600 system that I sold him years ago. A contractor cut out the wires to the outdoor zone and removed the keypad and speakers. Now the system is only usable from the face and not the keypads. There is no shorted wires and it worked for sometime after this was done . It only locked up as soon as I re-introduced the zone.
Any ideas!

Unplug the unit and see what happens. The face controls zone 6 (main zone) only. Change the dip swtch settings to another zone and see what happens. You can also swap out keypads, if you do that write down what the dip switch settings are so you can pit it back how it was.
Power off the unit when you make changes.

Twix do try a reset first. But audio access makes an infield repair kit. The most common eprom or chip that goes bad is the one for the keypads inside the unit. The repair kit I believe comes with more the one. So it helps out in the field alot. THXRick..

Thanks guys for your suggestions, I have obviously tried re-sets removing keypads unplugging them etc.. I am no longer a AA dealer ( changed complanies) so getting the field kit could be difficult but I think this could be what is needed because I have never seen one of these units do this.
Thanks for you help!
