I've only done standard 18" dishes so far. In northern California the signal strength for the RCA receivers I've done the most is usually in the high 80's.

What kind of signal strength will I expect for the extra LNBs - do they typically read the same or are there variations?

What kinds of things should I look out for in trying to get the elliptical aligned for all the LNBs?

Appreciate your input.

SHOULD be only very slightly lower than if you were to use an idividual dish for each Sat location.

But then again.... reality is always a bit different
I've usually gotten about 10-20 pts lower.

If it doesn't work you can always use individual 18" dishes.

BTW, what part of Nor-Cal are you in?

I'm in Chico.

I'm in Concord.

Individual dishes = 3 of them, I assume? How many LNBs per dish? I see in the DBL catalog there's a TERK with two dual LNBs and another with three dual LNBs. Which works for what?

BTW, what do all the outputs of the LNBs feed?

When usuing indicudual disched for a HD system, the SAT-A Dish uses a Single, Dual LNB, Sat-B uses a Single, Dual LNB, and Sat-C usues a Single, Single LNB.

These all feed into a Multiswitch(With C-Kit in this example), the same it would if you were using an eliptical dish with all three LNBs.

The Dishes with THre LNBs are basically for the 3rd Satellite which currently provides DirecTV subscribers with ShowtimeHD. Sat-B is used for HBO-HD and HDnet. SAT-A Provides all basic programming.

I think when you are using a two or three LNB system, other channels are fed across the B and/or C as well, but I dont know exactly which ones.
