Does it include a free lunch?

Nope. Hell, I can’t even buy lunch with the $12 a day pay they give you. LOL

Anyone want to trade what you are doing today? I’ve got jury duty

I don't have to do that any longer, thank god.

Just smile and say "Nah, he looks pretty damn guilty to me.".

I got lucky and didn’t get picked. It was a civil case. Someone didn’t want to pay their GC for a remodel. Their attorney was dismissing anyone that was a contractor or worked in the construction industry.

Wonder why. LOL

One of my builder clients got sued, I volunteered to be a witness, but the builders lawyer never bothered having me testify, and I had proof that the homeowner was the cause of the problems.

Builder lost the case, and $300,000.00.

Stupid lawyer.

Client flew in with her new G500 today and asked if I could meet at the airport to see if I could "Install Bluetooth in the plane".  I'm not even sure what that really means, but it's way out of my area of expertise.

Might be worth learning. The private plane business is booming thanks to new laws implemented by the current administration.

Ohh man, I would have gone just to see the plane. :D

As i'm sure you are well aware, you cant just slap anything in planes. they have to be FAA cleared, the workers have to be FAA certified and every single product has to be FAA certified.

Im surprised when they ordered the plane that they didn't spec a package!

It would have been fun to see the plane, but not the type of client that likes to have her time wasted, so I declined immediately.

I think the plane is 4-5 years old, but she just took delivery in January after replacing the entire interior, updating the avionics, refreshing it mechanically and doing a repaint.

The family owns 3 jets that get replaced regularly and numerous smaller planes.  This is at least the 3rd Gulfstream they've purchased and redone in the 7 years I've been working for them so not sure why the Bluetooth was left out during the refit.

I'm guessing she was interested in some type of Bluetooth speakers, but not really sure.

Great opportunity to say "sure, I'll LOOK at it, but only in flight to swanky steakhouse in San Fran". She might have said ok! Would make for a nice chapter in the storybook of life.

That is not how any of this works. The fact that Paul got to talk to her directly means she must of really of needed an answer. Generally speaking, he would be talking to the assistant.

I have a few clients that I have never even met. I only ever talk to the assistant/property manager. Its a BIG DEAL when the client directly talks to you. Out of those few clients, I have never even talked to two of them and the other one called me up to ask a question, I don't think the phone call lasted more then 20 seconds.

There are property managers and assistants, etc. but this client is really accessible and it's common for me to deal with her directly for some things.  They have some form of communications on the planes because she'll often call, text or email while she's in the air.  The husband I've only met twice (very briefly) during all the years I've worked for them.

Currently they own 3 Gulfstreams (his, hers and one for the son) and numerous smaller planes that are used for the business.  I think they employee 8-12 full time pilots.

Don't you feel really poor when you go home at the end of the day?
