Amazing what a little post processing can do. I use Lightroom a lot more now than I do Photoshop for quick retouching, but love Photoshop.

On to the next project! Pimp ride! I always liked that car. Not sure why. Its a Reliant K on steroids with poofy seats. :) The old ladies liked them. My neighbor had one back in 1992. Brand new. It was sharp.

The New Yorker was my ex gf's favorite car. That's all she talked about in the 90's.

Paul,
Glad you answered the sound question on the beam. As far as the install, is there a wall plate behind the beam and how did you handle the power cord?

He said he has a metal can in the wall that allows him to pass the power cord up to behind the TV. It is accessible from behind the TV and too code where he is. Its a definitely a nice clean install.

Wonder if that is Code just there in CA or could be used elsewhere.

It may have been in the AV Greatness group. Not sure. He did not have pics of the box though. Maybe he'll chime in here and post some if he has some.

This was just a quick half-day job so I didn't really take any photos during the install.
I had lots of depth in the wall above the fireplace so used an Intuitive Design wall box placed vertically. I cut in a hole behind the TV that was about half the height of the box and then cut a 1-gang box in horizontally right above the mantle behind the BEAM with a brushed wallplate.
The Intuitive Design wall box was pushed inside the wall and down and then secured to the framing so it enclosed the 1-gang box below. The electrical outlet was installed into the wall box and the wall box contained the excess TV & BEAM power cables + low voltage wiring.
Conduit from the wall box to built-in cabinets allowed me to pull the One Connect cable and place the One Connect box in the cabinet along with the cable box and Apple TV.

I figured it was an open wall box like the Intuitive or Versabox behind the sheetrock and not a fully closed box. Was that a metal or plastic single gang box or LV ring you installed behind the beam, since its already sitting in the Intuitive box at that point?

It was just a plastic LV ring with 1-gang wall plate and brushed decora insert. The BEAM is barely as tall as a horizontal 1-gang wall plate, so I trimmed a little off the bottom of the wall plate and placed the cut in ring as low as possible to the mantle. All the wiring just passes through into the metal wall box behind.

Had a client ask me by text last night, "Hey, would you guys mind if we paid some of our invoice with Home Depot gift cards? They're just as good as cash and we have tons of them!"
Uhhh, no thank you.
I didn't use HD gift cards to purchase all your gear. I don't pay my employees with HD GC's either.
WTF???

but but but "they are as good as cash". Um, no, no they are not.
Tell him you will take $500 in cards to knock $250 off his bill. That would be fair.

Back when food stamps were actual stamps the going rate was 30 cash for 50 in stamps. I felt like a king walking out of Aldi's in the early 90's. 17 years old buying name brand soft drinks and cases of ramen. The good old days.
Let them know what the exchange rate is and go from there.
