This morning, I am installing ViaTools 10 on my Windows 10 laptop. The numbers match, so I thinking it should go perfectly. :)

Because that's all that was wrong with viatools.

Worked on the shallow well. Had a leaking fitting.

Said the hell with the well and walked to the beach.

Try again tomorrow. Can't seem to get anything done around here. :-)

No one said anything about anything being "right" with ViaTools!

I have a customer who insists I program his Zpads for the new Yamaha AVR I recently installed. The MusiCast app is not good enough for him.

I loathe dragging out the antique laptop. I was able to install .NET 1.1 and the required service pack, and got ViaTools installed fine. Then things went south from there. :)

I needed to learn some codes, so I grabbed the URC MX980 that was sitting over there, and it would not connect. I fought it for a while, and eventually got it to work. Not sure it had anything to do with the install of ViaTools. I uninstalled the .NET 1.1 stuff, and ViaTools still loads fine.

Windows did the Creators update the other night as well. That was likely the culprit of the URC woes.

The A/C in our office crapped out as well, so maybe I was just off my game due to the heat. I left at lunch and did not come back. :P

Today will be more fun. I wish I could wear a GoPro to the job I have to go to this afternoon. It is bound to produce some entertaining moments. Gotta love the elderly.

So true.

Getting really close to being here full time, and that will be the end of doing anything productive....

I was in Westchester County visiting some friends, so I stopped by URC headquarters. Mark, one of the trainers, gave me a tour and was a great guy.

Met a few folks that I have only communicated with via phone or email. Fun to put faces with names.

It's 1723 and I haven't gotten out of bed yet. (I know, TMI).
My wife made me yet another breakfast in bed.
I've been on my broken hinge laptop all day trying to find a replacement laptop.
After 8+ hours, I found one. [Link: remotecentral.com]

BTW, how many of you start with one browser tab and soon enough end up with 20?

Which tractor or bobcat are you using?

Come and borrow mine for few hours -- that's all it's going to take.

I in this picture I moved ~120 cu yards, or about 360,000lbs (180 tons).

Disassembled an existing system for a remodel and fireplace work. Told the contractor that the bathroom fan that was installed behind the TV and electronics would have to be moved. He said, no problem, that his guys had originally put it in and talked about how quiet it was.

"That fan is rated at less than one scone. You know some of them things can be three, four, five scones… They get pretty loud. If you can get something less than one scone, you'll never hear it."

I was hungry and grabbing my travel mug full of hot coffee to go with all them scones.

Mmmm...quiet scones.

Good time of year for attic work, I ran power for some great room shades yesterday.
