Van got broken into tonight and computer stolen (and a bunch of test equipment)...Apparently it really is time for a new laptop...and a PSA; Don't leave valuables in a vehicle this holiday season...And remember to use an automated cloud back up storage system.

On the plus side...time for some new toys!

Damn! Sorry. I got held up at gun point a few days ago. Gotta follow our horoscopes!

Bought about three pounds of candy.

Not one single "Trick or Treat" all night at the beach.

It's a good thing I bought candy that I like... :-)

I took this week off, my mom passed away at the end of last week. Have not accomplished anything more than busy work the last few days. Trying to get my head back in the game, but am struggling.

I too walk in these shoes (1.5 yrs), take the time, celebrate the good, do not dwell on he bad.

Hell I had the church in stitches during the eulogy!

My thoughts are with you and yours.

So today I sort of paid it forward.

There's an old guy (84 and looks like 60) lives down the street from me, here at the beach. 30 year military retiree that's going through some tough times.

Seems that his kidneys are failing, so he's going to dialysis three days a week, and is rapidly losing strength in the process.

He is pretty much cannot climbs stairs, will most likely be stuck in a wheelchair sometime soon.

Needed a ramp in order to get in/out of the house. Since the government has pretty much decimated the programs that would support projects like this for our veterans, there is a need for others to do what's right.

That said, this is what I did today:

Made me feel good. :-)

Will be adding another handrail next week, and more of those non skid thingies.

Good job man... in the ramp but more importantly helping out the veteran.

I once, years ago, was in a position where I did not know where my next meal was going to come from. Nobody ever knew at the place i was working at the time but there was a lady that provided snacks for customers and this fed me for about two weeks.

Ever since then I keep snacks and munchies at my desk for other employees.

I get thanked daily for that.

This week I had to get a signature from a client so I could get paid by his warranty company and found out he was having a hard time finding a job.

I met him at a Cracker Barrel with the paperwork and fed him dinner. It was very apparant he was hungry, but he refrained from devouring the whole thing, and saved the other half and took it home to his wife.

Trust me when i say you just never know when someone is in need but they are holding there head high in search of a solution.

Longest two weeks of my life.

Be thankful for what you have and help others without need for verification.

Today I wanted to finish the plans for my storage unit / garage, so that I could take them to building permitting office for review tomorrow.
Instead, I watched my new team Broncos whoop some ass.
Also, I am now convinced that I'm solely responsible for my old team's (Giants) loosing pattern.
They have lost every single game I watched, and won the ones I missed.
case in point, today,I started watching them part way thru the game. They were leading when I tuned to the game, and quickly started loosing.
