Terms for payment are quite simple and modest;

-Airfare

reasonable
-Housing in any hotel where hookers don't do business.

so only call girls??
-Per Diem at current market rate

reasonable...
-A round of golf at Riviera, LACC, or Pinehurst (you could
drive me there)

How about Trump west?? I have not played there yet, but we would be within 5 miles...

Sound like a deal for me to be your installabeyatch?

You getting bored with the island??

That lady I talked to you about a while back is still threatening to send me over there for their new house. But who knows, I still don't have a plane ticket. Not sure what ever happened to her sons house either, that seemed to just fall off the radar.

I was really hoping to hire you guys and go over and stupervise...

Nothing major on my front this week, though I swear I have never hooked up so many gaming systems in such a short period of time, (3 wii's, 3 xbox's 2 ps2's, and 2 xbox360's) since monday...is the sky falling? or is it just summer break???

Nor made so many existing customers fubared systems work (2 customer provided blose48's needing VS-1's), a System with a Yamaha HTR5660 (6.1HTIB system the customer already owned) and a RXV550 (to power 2pairs of outdoor speakers run through a niles table top 2 pair volume controlled selector) hooked up to a DVD changer, VCR, XBOX, PS2, XBOX 360, a wii, Comcast DVR, and D-Lo home dock, and using a component and optical remote controlled switch running to a 37" samsung LCD...and no universal remote yet all in a 'corner cabinet that angled in the back so that the dvd changer wouldn't fit (had to put it on top of the entertainment cabinet with the fr fl c speakers)...OY what a week.

At least I wasn't twiddling my thumbs. To all a great weekend.

p.s. I'd enjoy knowing what ALL the other components in
the rack are, with the exception of the Crestron and Kaleidedscape.

The three C2N-HBlocks were currently hanging when I took this picture. They are mounted to one of the Middle Atlantic support plates that come with the racks during shipping. It has been secured now and hidden behind the side panel!

Rack equipment:
There are two Crestron 300 watt power supplies, a Crestron AM/FM/Weather tuner, a CNX-HUB for cresnet communications, 4 Bipads, 4 16x60 amps, 1 PVID 8x4, 3 PVID 8x3s, Pro2 processor for the whole system communicating via ISC to a MC2e processor which runs the Kaleidescape only. 7 crestron tstats in the room with 14 sensors (2 for each zone) in the house. Halco SSP-80 pre-amp and Halco MC-70 7 channel amp for the theater feeding a Runco 61" w/ DHD scaler. Dedicated Micros DS-2+ 16 channel camera DVR, four Directv HD DVRs, 4 Kaleidescape movie players, 1 Kaleidescape music server, 1 Comcast HD DVR cable box (as a backup and for guests), and an Apple TV! They love the Kaleidescape and Apple TV.

Spent the day looking over this one the other day. This is a classic example of a decent system finished badly (not installed by me or the company i work for).
You can't tell from the pic here obviously, but it's run with crestron and has probably the worst programming i have ever seen. Lots of faults and very poor layouts. It's jobs like these that lead clients to believe that the company is good (AV installer) but a product bad (crestron).
I will be making upgrades to this system and we will be re-programming the crestron from scratch.

Simon.

You didn't ask permission to post a picture of me. (oh,
by the way, I'm the slender one on the right)

I swear they were all 120pounds when I walked into that Bar.

Those are some expensive Genelec speakers in that picture if I'm not incorrect. Just the sub is 20K or something like that, isn't it?

I was asked to design a theater for an upcoming project
where money is not an issue, we will see.

Even though on intial meeting we showed him a TPMC-17
and he showed me 5 locations he would like to put them
even after I told him the cost.

Lucky bast#rd!!! Best of luck, man!

Oh My God... That Genelec setup is designed for a LARGE area and one that should be acoustically treated. Seeing that sub standing there in the corner kills me, not to mention the overkill factor.... Those Genelec left center anfd right speakers are approx. $7300.00 (each) and the sub is over $20,000.00 (U.S.).

What a sad waste the way those are set-up there... Looks like you have a little work ahead of you... That client is obviously quite well - heeled, but were certainly not done ANY favors by the sales / design guy.

Seeing those Genelecs crammed together there is kinda like someone putting a supercharged big-block V-8 into a Mini Cooper!

Your company sure runs across some cool stuff though... Have a good weekend!
