Found this on a job today.  Sorry about the bad picture, took it with my phone.  Yes, this is a male-to-male custom power cord.  Came out of a rack job I am gutting and rebuilding.  Scary......

I found a really cool LED flashlight I left in a rack a couple months back!! :)
Also had a client give me another flashlight I left behind last year. I don't loose tools too often, but I go through flashlights pretty bad.
I can read a cut sheet, therefore I am an expert!!

Wasted an entire Saturday morning...
...Went to install a Plasma over a guy's fireplace... It was a new ultra-uber-modern-contemporary house. Everrything in the house was custom and sort of wierd.

The problem was it had a LARGE gas fireplace... and each time I punched into the face of the drywall with my sharp little metal stabbing stick, I hit what sounded like sheet metal (all the way up the wall above this fireplace).

After about 15 probes, I told the customer, I refused to install the Plasma, because I didn't want to drill through the sheet metal, because it might screw with the integrity of the fireplace.

I ended up spackling the "probe - holes" packed up all of my stuff... Apologized to the guy and his sad-looking wife, and didn't charge them for my wasted hour and a half of screwing around!!!

I SWEAR I am going to get one of those Milwakee "scope" things.

Oh well, at least it's a nice day today for a drive!

Me too.  Wonder why that is?  I've got tools in my bag that I've had for a decade.  I can't keep a flashlight for a month.

I've been wearing the same baseball hat for 5 years...I was walking through Lowe's the other day and found this...Perfect.  Works great except for when I have to turn it backwards to fit my extra large head in somewhere.

This is what I had to deal with. My guy insists he wasn't speeding, he was going 55 in the slow lane and lost control in the rain and crashed into a bridge. The tow truck driver thinks he must have been going really fast. It is so tweaked the glove compartment wont close. I only hope the insurance gives me most of what I owe on it...

Now I am all for making custom cables, but damn. Maybe they were trying to accomplish something like an inlet? Off the surge protector to an outlet that is simply connected to a projector outlet? I always say "Swing and Miss, Try Again" in these particular instances.
