I am using a RCA SAT receiver with component video output (DRD485 I guess NO HD). Not all the time, I get distorted image on top of the screen and sometimes and/or on the button. This doesn't happen on svideo and it does happen on two VGA inputs. I am using component cables from the receiver to a JVC A/V switcher and from there component cables to a breakout cable (component-VGA cable) to my plasma (Sony PFM42B2). This problem does not happen with DVD (connected via the same cable and switcher in progressive scan or interlaced). That's how I know is not the plasma or the cable?. One day the problem went away just reseting the receiver. But last night I did everything but nothing. Just unplugged the cable from the plasma and put it back and voila! the image is perfect again. This is not consistent and it happened a week ago and then again last night.

Any info would be appreciated.

Willy.

PS. The distorted image appears as a 3 inches bar on the top or the button of the screen, the center is OK, but it appears as if the image is about to fade, because the brightness is low when the problem is occurring.
