I have an application that needs to put a TV in an outdoor patio in South Florida (Hot/humid most of the year). The location is 100% sheltered from the sun and/or rain.
We are looking for a TV in the 19-25" range and am wondering if anyone has had any "outdoor" experience as to whether we should go with a conventional tube TV or try one of the newer LCD units.
Also, there is power to the area but it will be very difficult to run a cable for the signal to hook up to the whole house video system. Does anyone have experience with the units out there that send an AV signal through the air or through the house wiring (note, I also use an X10 unit for a few applications and didn't know if this would interfere with the AV signal if I used the house wiring).
Thanks

I get the impression that LCD units are a bit brighter than tubes. And, of course, now that I have said that, you will start getting agreeing or disagreeing responses!
I have tried the remote UHF link, and they might be good for fifteen feet. I think you will have to run another conduit and run audio and video through it.
