Are there any DirecTV HD receivers that support HD output on Firewire? Has anyone played with the Firewire port of the consumer JVC HD VCR and noticed any compatibility / performance issues?
...or receivers that have an RF output that could go to the terrestial input on the VTR deck? I know that Hughes used to make available a card that did just that, but don't know the specifics.
The object here is to allow someone to record HD material to tape.
