Has anyone tried the new Proficient outdoor speakers.
How do they compare to Sonance as their power ratings and specifications seem to indicate good value for money.
Anyone compared them with Boston Voyager / Niles?

I've used on one job and was very pleased. The customer is as well. Great value at the price. I've not used the Sonance or the others you mention so I can't help you compare them, sorry.

I've used all the differant outdoor and in ceiling speakers as well as the volume controlls...all with the best results. The only problem I've had (minor) is that the grills (in ceiling) are hard to insert. Speakercraft, the makers of the Proficient line has done very well with these...an A+++++ rating

Haven't used their outdoor speakers yet , but have used their indoor. Sounds good for the price, Now the bad news. IMHO. I had major problems with their preconstruction brackets. I got a bunch with the wrong size wings for their ceiling brackets. Had to order them 3 times to get the right ones. Also, once they were installed under the drywall, they would not lay very flat. With the limited capabilities of their ears, had to rip half of them out before I could hang the speakers.

At the price, they're hard to beat. If you've been happy with the others, Profecient will shine with their outdoors and they have a strong warranty. Dollar for dollar they are the best sounding outdoors I've heard. CMack
